Vintage Seiko Alba Pino “Sefaire Paris” Green Enamel Bangle Watch
A ladies’ quartz bangle watch from Seiko Alba Pino’s “Sefaire Paris” line, made in 1994. Deep green enamel (with a cloisonné-like glossy finish) runs along both sides of a gold bangle bracelet, while champagne-toned triangular crystal-set ornaments frame the round case. A single small clear stone is set at the 12 o’clock position on the dial, adding a quiet point of light.
Alba Pino was Seiko’s 1990s ladies’ line, designed with the sensibility of jewellery watches. Within it, “Sefaire Paris” was the most ornamental series, with a design language reaching toward French elegance. Powered by a Japanese-made quartz movement (Cal.V401), it keeps steady time through everyday life. A safety chain comes attached to the caseback to prevent loss.
The contrast between the gold bangle and the green enamel carries the brilliance of a piece pulled from a jewellery box. The dial itself, by contrast, is composed of simple stick indexes in champagne tones — the balance between ornament and function feels just right. The bangle structure means it snaps on and off easily, with no clasp to fasten. Worn with a white blouse or linen outfit, it brings a sudden refinement to the wrist.
Pre-owned but in excellent condition across the case, bangle, and crystal. Minor scuffs from normal use are visible, but the watch is currently running smoothly. As it is battery-powered, there is a possibility of stopping during transport — in that case, a battery replacement will restore function.
