The 1400L is one of Gucci’s defining bangle watches of the 1990s. Its rounded case, reminiscent of a horsebit, draws directly from the house’s equestrian heritage — a watch that carries Gucci’s memory on the wrist as much as it tells the time. The series remains loved around the world to this day.

The case and bangle are gold-tone stainless steel, shaped in smooth, generous curves that catch the light in broad planes and return it with depth. The white dial carries no hour markers — only the GUCCI logo and two slender hands. With ornament stripped away, the sculptural metalwork itself becomes the focus. The movement is Swiss-made quartz.

In the hand, it has the satisfying weight of a true bangle, yet the case, at about 25mm, keeps the proportions refined. On the wrist it reads first as a gold bangle, and a glimpse of it at the cuff is enough to give an outfit its quiet centre.
