From Exceed, known as Citizen’s most refined line, comes this piece crafted in sterling silver. Made in 1990, at a time when Japanese watchmaking was at its most generous, it flows from a bracelet of woven leaf-shaped links into a small oval case — the whole watch conceived as a single piece of silverwork.

The case and bracelet are sterling silver. Each leaf link follows the next, returning a soft, gentle light with every movement of the wrist. The pale pink dial carries only dot markers and slender hands, lending a touch of warmth — almost like a faint blush — to the quiet glow of the silver. The movement is Japanese-made quartz.

The case measures a modest 19mm, and in the hand it carries the smooth, satisfying weight that only solid silver has. On the wrist it reads first as a silver bracelet, its chain of leaves shifting in expression as it moves at the cuff.
