This ring was hand-selected by Sarah, owner of The Secret Compartment on Australia's Gold Coast. A treasure hunter since childhood — she spent school holidays searching for quartz in her grandfather's creek — Sarah opened her store in 2018 so that rings made to last a lifetime (or three) could be loved once again. Her passion runs deep: last year she drove fifteen hours to the Queensland Gemfields to dig, sieve and wash gravel by hand in search of sapphires. Choosing vintage is also a quiet act of care for the planet — one less stone mined, one less ring newly made.

The tourmaline carries natural inclusions, as all genuine stones do. The gold shows only light wear and is in lovely condition for many more years of life.
