The Colisée belongs to the Must de Cartier collection, the line Cartier created in the 1970s and 80s to bring its design language within closer reach. Its material is vermeil — a case of solid sterling silver, plated in gold. Not gold-toned base metal: silver underneath, gold above. It's a construction with weight and history, and one of the quiet reasons Must pieces from this era are increasingly collected.

The case is a perfect round, just 24mm, with the domed bezel flowing seamlessly into sculpted lugs. The dial is ivory, ringed with black Roman numerals in Cartier's unmistakable hand, and crossed by blued steel hands — that deep, almost ink-blue that only appears in certain light. At the crown sits a blue cabochon, the signature Cartier has kept for over a century.

On the wrist it is small, precise, and unmistakably itself. It doesn't announce the name; the numerals do that for anyone close enough to read them.

With a black knit, a white shirt, an evening dress — it moves anywhere. A watch this size never dominates an outfit. It punctuates it.

This is a pre-owned piece. The case shows light dulling, fine scratches and small dents consistent with age, with scratches on the lugs; the hands show slight corrosion, and there is a tiny inclusion inside the crystal. The fitted black strap and buckle are aftermarket replacements; the original Cartier strap (with damage) and a Cartier box (with damage) are included.

Warranty
Tested and confirmed running at dispatch, with a one-month movement warranty from the date of delivery. If it stops, or gains or loses time significantly within that period, please contact us. Vibration during transit may occasionally cause the battery to shift; reseating it will restore function. Not covered: battery depletion, damage from impact or water, and marks on the case or strap.
