Vintage Valentino Heart Motif Earrings
Founded in Rome in 1960, Valentino built its house on the intersection of couture precision and unabashed romanticism. That sensibility carried through to its jewellery — signed vintage pieces carry the same design intent as the runway, scaled down to something you can wear every day.
These 1980s clip-on earrings from Italy fill a heart-shaped frame with ruby-red rhinestones set against warm vintage gold. The contrast is immediate and deliberate — the red is saturated, the gold deep. At 4.5cm and 12g, they're lighter than their presence suggests, and they sit well on the ear without pulling.
Wear with a black dress for an evening out and they're exactly right. Pair with a white t-shirt and denim and the contrast becomes the point — that's when the Valentino playfulness comes through most clearly.
