This bangle comes from Michaela Frey, the Viennese house that defined Austrian enamel jewellery. Founded in Vienna in 1951, the atelier became renowned for its fire enamel technique — layers of enamel fired at high temperature — and for decoration as precise as painting. The house later evolved into the world-famous FREYWILLE, which makes this piece a genuine work of Viennese craft from the era before the name changed.

Across a white ground runs a quiet procession of damask ornament in brown — a pattern inherited from Europe's woven textiles and tapestries, redrawn here in enamel. Classic and quietly intellectual, the slim band traces a delicate line of light along the wrist.
