The Hermès Cape Cod Double Tour is a watch that lives more like a bracelet.

The Cape Cod was born in 1991 from the hand of Henri d’Origny, who drew a square within a rectangle, taking his cue from the maison’s Chaîne d’Ancre — the anchor-chain motif that runs through Hermès design. In 1998, Martin Margiela added the double tour strap that wraps twice around the wrist, and the gesture has defined the Cape Cod ever since.

The stainless steel case carries a quiet outline, its corners softly rounded. On the silver dial, Arabic numerals drawn in outline only. The brown leather is finished with white saddle stitching, and it is the kind of leather that deepens in lustre the longer you wear it.

Wrapped twice, it layers naturally with a fine gold chain or a slim bangle. Each time you check the hour, there is Hermès leather at your wrist — and an ordinary shirt cuff starts to look a little different.

Tested and confirmed running at the time of dispatch. As a quartz watch, the battery may shift out of position during transit due to vibration, causing the watch to pause temporarily. In most cases, reseating the battery or replacing it will restore function.
