Vintage Cat & Fish Figural Brooch (Gold-tone)
A cat, up on its hind legs, gazes at a small tank set on a side table. This single scene is held within the small surface of a brooch.
Inside the clear cabochon — the "tank" — a fish and its bubbles are carved from behind, so depth appears as the angle shifts. The detailing runs through the cat's fur and the curve of the table's cabriole legs.
The brass is soft rather than bright, carrying the quiet depth of vintage. Only the clear section lets light through, opening one bright space within the metal.
