Vintage Rhinestone Earrings
A 1970s–80s rhinestone earring from Australia, set in silver metal plating. The stones are generous in coverage — this is not a subtle piece. At 20g there's real substance to it, and the weight gives it a presence on the ear that lighter pieces can't replicate.
The rhinestones read differently depending on the light — cooler and more precise in daylight, warmer and more dramatic in the evening. The silver base keeps the overall tone clean rather than warm, which makes these versatile across seasons and outfits.
A simple knit or blouse is all it takes. The earring does the rest.
