This vintage necklace features a heart-shaped pendant crafted from exquisite Venetian glass, suspended from a slender silver-toned chain. The deep cobalt base is animated by delicate streaks of red, white, and gold — hallmarks of the traditional millefiori technique.

While heart motifs are often bold, this piece expresses quiet refinement through its petite scale and cool-toned palette.

Venetian glassmaking dates back over a thousand years, flourishing on the island of Murano from the 13th century onward. Techniques such as millefiori (“a thousand flowers”) involve layering and slicing coloured glass canes to reveal intricate floral patterns. Each bead is handcrafted, making every piece subtly unique — a miniature work of art shaped by molten glass and masterful timing.
