1968年、ロサンゼルス生まれのジュエリーブランド「1928 Jewelry」。
その名は、アンティークジュエリーが最も輝いた時代へのオマージュ。

創業から半世紀以上、デザイナーたちは今もアンティークショップや
エステートセールをめぐり、ヴィクトリア朝・アールデコ・
アールヌーボーの原作品を探し続けています。
ストーンのセッティングから手作業のエナメル加工まで、
当時の技法を守りながら現代に届ける——それが1928のスタイルです。

カメオとは、石や貝に横顔を浮き彫りにした装飾のこと。
その起源は古代ギリシャ・ローマにまで遡り、
ヴィクトリア朝のイギリスで再び大流行しました。
横顔という構図には、正面から見ることのできない
その人の「別の表情」が宿るとされていました。

ピンクのハート型ストーンに、
白いシルエットで描かれた女性の横顔。
ゴールドトーンのハートフレームは
繊細な彫金細工で縁取られ、
クラシックな蝶番のトップパーツが
ペンダントに上品な動きをもたらします。

小ぶりで軽やか。
でも、胸元に着けると存在感がある。
そういうジュエリーです。

チェーンは16インチ（約40cm）＋3インチ（約7.5cm）の
エクステンダー付きで、鎖骨のすぐ下から

Founded in Los Angeles in 1968, 1928 Jewelry takes its name as an
homage to the golden age of antique jewelry.

For over half a century, their designers have continued to visit
antique shops and estate sales in search of original Victorian,
Art Deco, and Art Nouveau pieces — studying each design before
recreating it through time-honored techniques, from stone setting
to hand enameling.

The cameo — a profile carved in relief against a contrasting
background — has its roots in ancient Greece and Rome,
and reached the height of its popularity during the Victorian era.
There was something in the profile, specifically, that fascinated:
a face seen from the side reveals a different kind of truth
than one seen straight on.

Here, a woman's silhouette in ivory white rests against
a pink heart-shaped stone, framed in an ornately worked
gold-tone heart setting. A delicate hinged bail adds
subtle movement as it catches the light.

Small. Light. But present at the collarbone
in a way that draws the eye.

The chain measures 16 inches (approx. 40cm),
with a 3-inch extender for a customisable fit —
sitting just below the collarbone or slightly lower,
depending on your preference.
