The Italian Médaille Pendant Necklace Collection: St. Gabriel

Among the medailles displayed at a quiet church market, this piece carried a narrative in relief — St. Gabriel at the Annunciation.

Crafted in Italy between the 1950s and 1980s, this vintage medal measures approximately 2cm in height and 1.5cm in width.
It holds a reassuring metal weight and depth.

The archangel Gabriel stands with a lily — a symbol of purity — delivering the message to Mary.
The kneeling figure completes the composition, forming the scene of the Annunciation.

The strength of this medal lies in its sculptural depth.
The folds of the garments and the layered wings create subtle shadows when touched by light.
