HAMILTON Ventura Ladies Gold H241010
Few watches in history have a shape this bold. The triangular shield case belongs to the Ventura — the world’s first electric wristwatch, introduced by Hamilton in 1957. This is the ladies’ model carrying that design forward, its golden case softened by a warm brown leather strap.
The Ventura was designed by Richard Arbib, an industrial designer known for cars and boats. In an age of springs and gears, he gave form to an entirely new idea: a watch powered by electricity. Worn by Elvis Presley on screen, it remains in production more than half a century later — one of Hamilton’s true icons.
The silver dial carries dot indices and the electric-coil motif running through its centre. At roughly 24mm, the case is small, and for all its character it sits quietly on the wrist. When the gold catches the light, the edges of the triangle rise gently into view.
A watch that speaks through its shape, it looks best against simple clothes — a white shirt, a plain knit. For someone who chooses a watch as a point of view, this is a piece to keep for years.
The piece shows overall signs of wear. Please refer to the photographs for details. It remains well suited to everyday use.
