Vintage Susie M Heart Motif Necklace
Susie M is an Australian jewellery brand active primarily in the late 20th century, known for bold, clean lines and minimalist designs that sit comfortably between playful and striking. Outside Australia, signed pieces like this one are increasingly hard to come by.
This necklace from the 1980s–90s pairs a rolo chain in richly aged vintage gold with a polished puffed heart charm. At 88g the weight is immediate — this is a substantial piece. The chain is thick enough to read as confident and modern, while the heart's rounded silhouette brings something softer into the balance. The gold catches light evenly across the surface, warm against skin.
Wear it with a t-shirt or a simple knit and it does the work on its own. Layer it with finer chains for something more considered. Against a classic dress it brings in a note of nostalgia without losing its edge.
