Vintage Seiko Exceline Diamond Marker Gold Ladies’ Watch
A Seiko Exceline ladies’ quartz watch composed entirely in gold tone — case and bracelet alike. The bracelet flows along the wrist with sculpted herringbone links reminiscent of wheat grains. The 21.6mm round case holds a gold textured dial, with a single diamond marker set at the 12 o’clock position adding a quiet point of light. Small diamonds are also placed on either side of the case, completing an ornamental composition.
Exceline is among Seiko’s ladies’ lines, designed with the sensibility of jewellery watches. Powered by a Japanese-made quartz movement (Cal.4N20), it keeps steady time through everyday life. Stick indexes and gold hands give the finely textured dial a quiet rhythm, while the contrast between silver and gold at the bezel sharpens the dial.
The bracelet, dense like a piece of jewellery, carries weight and lustre that pull the whole outfit together when worn. Peeking from the cuff of a white linen shirt or a knit, the gold brings a refined warmth to the wrist, and layers naturally with other bracelets. Pre-owned but in good overall condition. A single scratch on the crystal and some paint loss on the case are visible, along with minor scuffs from normal use, but the watch is currently running properly.
