A watch whose dial is laid entirely with Australian opal — deep blues and greens, with the occasional spark of violet and red, like wearing a small jewel on the wrist.

The case is a near-octagonal form, a brushed silver body framed by a gold bezel. Gold screws set into the four corners give the watch a quietly architectural detail, recalling the spirit of the Royal Oak. The dial carries Roman numerals at XII, III, VI, and IX, with an eagle motif and the word “EAGLE” at the centre, QUARTZ at six o’clock, and below it the inscription “AUSTRALIA OPAL”.

Opal is a stone defined by its play of colour — its hues shift with the angle of light. With each small movement of the wrist, green runs through the blue, red appears within the green. The dial itself becomes a small jewel; a true jewellery watch.

The strap is black croc-embossed leather. Its matte texture lets the two-tone case and the colour of the dial speak.

Watches with dials of Australian opal were a category developed largely by Australian makers through the 1970s and 80s. Each piece carries its own face — no two opals shift light in quite the same way.
