Vintage Gold Filigree Hinged Bangle
A hinged gold bangle that rests gently on the wrist. Layers of fine filigree wirework wrap around the surface, shifting in expression as the light moves across them.
At the centre, fine mesh forms the backdrop for an arrangement of twisted wires, granulation, and delicate chain. Each line, each tiny bead of gold, carries the quiet rhythm of work done by hand — something a machine could never quite replicate.
The hinged construction means the bangle opens with ease, slipping on and off without forcing the wrist. The inside is smoothed and finished with care, so it sits softly against the skin.
The gold tone is warm but restrained — not overly bright, with a subtle depth to it. Worn just below a shirt cuff, it adds a quiet confidence to the hand without ever feeling loud. A piece that holds its own, and welcomes layering when the moment calls for it.
Inner diameter: approx 6cm
Material: Brass, gold metal plating
Period: 1950s-70s
Condition: Slight wear to gold metal plating; sign of vintage age. Slight distortion where cuff ends meet.
Sourced/Made in: Australia
