Seiko Quartz All-Gold Decorative Bracelet Watch

Not so much a watch on the wrist as a piece of jewellery quietly added to it. From Seiko’s ladies quartz line, a gold-toned watch carried on a sculpted, decorative bracelet.

The case is round, approximately 20mm. A champagne gold dial holds slim gold stick indexes and fine hands; the SEIKO QUARTZ marking sits centred and quiet. The dial is deliberately reduced — a still centre, made to let the bracelet take the room.
The bracelet is where this piece speaks. Woven metal links repeat along the wrist, their surfaces alternating between matte texture and small raised bead detailing. The depth of the casting and care of the finish give it a weight that simpler dress watches do not have. A small safety chain completes the construction.
