EMMA KRAFFT Victorian Wedding Band (925 Silver, Gold Vermeil)
Less a ring than a slender sculpture. The Victorian Wedding Band takes the form of a classic band and carves it, edge to edge, with an unbroken procession of flowers inspired by Victorian ornament. Each piece is finished by hand by founder Esin Nalbantoğlu in her Karaköy atelier in Istanbul.
Every ring begins as a hand-carved wax form. Six years of apprenticeship in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar shaped the carving skill that sets these small, dimensional blossoms into so narrow a band — a depth of relief that cast, mass-produced rings cannot hold. Glance down at your hand in passing, and the light finds the contours of the pattern, showing you a slightly different face each time.
The band is 925 silver with gold vermeil — not a bright, showy gold, but a settled tone closer to honey. Slim and unassuming, it slips quietly into whatever you are wearing that day, content to sit alone or to stack with the rings you already own.
There is something in putting it on as the last step of a morning — a small way of beginning the day with care. Made not for a season but to be kept, it is a piece you can entrust with the years ahead.

Unlike vermeil, solid gold will never change its colour with time — each carved blossom carries the deep, settled light that only 18ct gold holds, making this a piece that can be passed down through generations.
