Born in late-1920s New York, Monet brought true metalwork to costume jewellery — and the signed plaque on the back of this piece is the proof.

The ribbed omega chain is supple yet holds its curve, so the motif stays perfectly centred all day. At its heart, a domed pearl gathers soft light, held by two leaf motifs lined with rhinestones like small wings. The contrast — sturdy metal, quiet pearl — is what makes this piece.
