What stayed with me first was the sense of density — the kind that only comes from time.

Multiple gold chains intertwine with faceted black beads, each element carrying its own rhythm and texture. Despite the richness, the composition remains calm, never excessive. The eye doesn't scatter; everything settles into a single, composed layer at the neckline.

What drew me in was the feeling that this piece isn't about display, but about accumulation — of time, of hands, of decisions made long ago. It favours depth over sparkle, relationship over novelty.

On the gold elements, small oval tags bear engraved letters and numbers. Their exact origin is unknown, but they may have served as workshop identifiers — lot numbers, design references, or the initials of a maker or production line. Rather than decorative marks, they feel like quiet traces of a time when jewellery was shaped through human processes, not anonymity.

When worn, the necklace never overwhelms. Instead, it anchors the entire look, bringing a grounded presence whether paired with a black dress or something as simple as a knit. There's a calm strength to it — a confidence that doesn't ask to be noticed.
